Carrozzeria Touring Disco Volante Concept, on the way to Geneva

During the next week, at the Geneva car show, we will see many and varied prototypes of different brands, but there is one in particular that it draws attention only to its design. It’s the Carrozzeria Touring disc wheel Concept, a classic Alfa Romeo reiterpretación.
Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, the descendant company of Carrozzeria Touring, who both worked with alpha, has put hands to work to create a concept that revives the flame of the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante of 1952, which was actually based on the Alfa Romeo 1900.
As the original Disco Volante in the fifties, this new Disco Volante is also based on an Alfa Romeo Street, although in this case in more States of which we can choose, the Alfa Romeo 8 c Competizione.
This prototype is benefiting from the chassis of the 8 c Competizione and the 4.7 liter V8 engine of 450 HP, with an automatic transmission of six relations. The body is made of aluminum and carbon fiber according to the Italian company manages a Cx of 0.25.
